She is a Brooklyn native that has always had a love for science since her formative years. She attended SUNY New Paltz where she received her BS in molecular/cellular biotechnology. Dr. Adjei received her Ph.D. in Genetics and Human Genetics. Her research was based on finding biomarkers in urine for sickle cell disease nephropathy. The program will target high school underclassmen (rising juniors). During the six week bootcamp, students will learn about various tools in biotechnology through a guided research project. Schuster currently serves as the CTE Department Chair at McKinley Technology High School in Washington, D.C. He previously taught at Dunbar Senior High School.
